Dear Lily, I enjoy the work you do and have been a fan of yours for many years. Then I heard about your protest of the Iditarod dog sledding race and my heart soared. I live in Anchorage and have protested the race last year and will protest again in 2020. I invite you to come to Anchorage and protest the Iditarod in 2020. Thank you for all you do.

I feel a bit weird putting this on here but I have no clue how else to express how amazing I think you are! Anytime I watch anything with you I can’t help but laugh, no matter the day I’m having. To be honest you saved my life when I was at my worst and I know I’m not the only person who has said that to you but I wanted to let you know you’re super important to me, even though I don’t really know you as a person! Thank you for all you do!

When you played your one woman show in Toronto, I waited and waited at the stage door on a chair inside. Everyone had left and after about another 20 min you wandered close to the yellow tape. You looked at me, with surprise, and said, "did you want to see me?" After you signed the program - I didn't want to put my coat on in front of you (it seemed classless) but there was a horrible snow storm. I moved towards the door and you said, "put your coat on - it snowing out" After I put it on you began doing the buttons up. I was laughing. you're so short and I'm so tall; then you said, "where's your hat and your scarf" By this time I was laughing so hard tears were streaming. I was in the process of writing a one woman show, so it meant so much to me to meet you. You wrote -hooray for the theatre. True. But even more true is: Hooray for people like Lily Tomlin who work in the theatre.

I saw you at the Fairmont in Dallas in 1983. I hope you tell Jane Fonda she's a real warrior. I am but not the same way. I am an under cover activist and have been for over 45 years.

Dear Lily Tomlin, Your spirit and energy is so infectious! I’ve been binge watching Grace & Frankie and adore your character. You’ve brought so much joy into my life, especially postpartum with an infant and a toddler at home. To meet you would be a thrill, but even having you over via Netflix each night is enough happiness to make my day. Thank you for sharing your comedic talent and overall fun persona. Keep sharing your amazing self! CT

Dear Mrs. Tomlin- I've always been a big fan of yours..my favorite character you portrayed was the switchboard operator..one ringy dingy...I recently used your image in one of my paintings...I'm a professional Surrealist painter..the painting titled "Rumor Mill" is going in an exhibition at the Figg Museum...I would really like it if you'd go to the website I typed and check it out and tell me what you think......If you can't.....anyway, you are great and God bless- James Walker Henry

Both you and Jane #2 were extraordinary tonight at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. What I came away with is how strong, loving and authentic your friendship is and how it mimics Jonell's and mine. I think you also went away with something of ours besides the book "the Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment that Transformed Their Lives"! We agree wholeheartedly with your idea of Jane #2 producing a project for you both is brilliant and of course, Jane #1 your partner of 48 years would be the perfect one to write it! Gather the Women...Save the World...

I have been a Lily Tomlin fan since Laugh In. I absolutely adore the series Grace and Frankie. I just rescued a beautiful white pug puppy from a puppy mill and I have named her Frankie Grace. She has such a unique sassy funny lovable personality. I would just love for a lily Tomlin to know that my Frankie exists and is named after her fun character . I wish I could post a picture because she is so cute !

Hi! 🙂 How cool that you have this site and even better, a place for me to write you nice things! 🙂 I just wanted to thank you for the joy you bring to my heart when I watch you on tv. Grace and Frankie, of course. And the West Wing got i n f i n i t e l y better when you joined the cast! I can only imagine how you are on stage! You have a lovely soul and inspire me on so many levels. The power and beauty of authenticity and living firmly in the moment. Thank you thank you for the all the laughs, for all of it. Love you so much!

My dear Lili, years ago we worked together on some promos when I was V.P. of creative services for Westinghouse Broadcasting. This is my story: I have written a script and treatment for an animated feature film and Because i'm not "represented" The majors like Disney, Pixar etc. will not look at it. with your imagination and connections I hope you will take a few minutes to give some feedback to get this produced. I will need an address to send it. I have it registered with the Writers Guild East. Thanks for your understanding. Alex

Love you two. Old 67 year old fan here. 50 years experience in theatre. Actor, director, designer, playwright. Want to direct Search for Intelligent Life so much. For years. Saw the original on Broadway. Samuel French... Restricted? Any way... how can I? Small theatre and an audience who could definitely use a big dose of the wisdom and wit within those pages. Worked at The Public Theatre for years and am a very intuitive, passionate director when the vehicle is right. Might write you every day. Thanks for listening. My best. Hey, a message not about Frankie and Grace... rare these days, right? Eager... Randal Tyler

I wish you (Lily) had merch for sale on your site. My mom - who was also born in Detroit in 1939 - is a huge fan and she would love a photo for her 80th birthday.

Lily and Jane. I love your work so much. I adore Jane's writing and love lily as an actress and everything she is. I was hoping to message privately but this is still something. I have stage 3 colon cancer and when I read and watch your work it really gets me through it. You are both my inspiration and I really want to meet you both. It looks unlikely but I wanted to say how much I love your work together and of course Lilys separate work. You are both inspirational. Thank you for many great films and material. The search is utterly fantastic. If you are able to please write to me it would be my dream @kategodellmers@gmail.com x

I've been catching up on you tube videos of you thanks to vacation. The two shots of Lilly and Jane or Tomlin/Wagner at the Kennedy Awards were especially great to see. The recognition is so entirely deserved. I moved to UCSanta Cruz from behind the Orange (Co.CA) curtain, in '75, and soon after was volunteering in the tiny little Queer Center Library: a little room with a little desk with a view on the pristeen redwood forest, where we had some gay books to catalog: lots of them from you. When I saw your name as the doner, I knew I was in the right place. Your comedy and that support helped me to become the feminist I am. Much later I saw your inteligent show in LA, all by myself when I was feeling unacustomed to being out alone and quite raw, after divorcing my wife. The show and even the people working the merchandise table, immediately part of a were like a balm, or a song welcoming me back to our community of strong womyn and literate lesbians. Thanks for the lift, and reminding me how to be myself alone and a part of a kinder, smarter universe.
