I've been catching up on you tube videos of you thanks to vacation. The two shots of Lilly and Jane or Tomlin/Wagner at the Kennedy Awards were especially great to see. The recognition is so entirely deserved. I moved to UCSanta Cruz from behind the Orange (Co.CA) curtain, in '75, and soon after was volunteering in the tiny little Queer Center Library: a little room with a little desk with a view on the pristeen redwood forest, where we had some gay books to catalog: lots of them from you. When I saw your name as the doner, I knew I was in the right place. Your comedy and that support helped me to become the feminist I am. Much later I saw your inteligent show in LA, all by myself when I was feeling unacustomed to being out alone and quite raw, after divorcing my wife. The show and even the people working the merchandise table, immediately part of a were like a balm, or a song welcoming me back to our community of strong womyn and literate lesbians. Thanks for the lift, and reminding me how to be myself alone and a part of a kinder, smarter universe.

I host a weekly blog radio show called Collections by Michelle Brown. (www.facebook.com/CollectionsbyMichelleBrown/) Each week I interview individuals living between the lines, standing boldly in the cross hairs of their intersectionality and creating change. I would like to interview you for the show. Like you I am a Cass Tech alumnus. You, me, Diana Ross an a kazillion others right. I was the black kid from the east side. I had gone to Catholic but a nun convinced my parents that going to Cass would open the world for me. Even though I had to wear that plaid uniform skirt my first day and was scared to death, it was the beginning, opening so many doors. I’d like to talk about your path to, thru and beyond Cass Tech, what little bit of Detroit still lives in you and how does it show up. And finally how have the intersections in your life influenced the directions you have taken in your life and how will it impact you future work. It is prerecorded by phone. If you are interested please contact me collectionsbymichellebrown@gmail.com Thanks – Michelle

I've recently come across Grace and Frankie on Netflix and have become absolutely enamored with both you, Lily, and Jane Fonda. My mother began to tell me about how she would watch you on Laugh-In with her dad growing up, which sparked my curiosity, and I began to delve deeper into your work as a comedian. And I must say, I have been absolutely blown away. I spend far too many hours becoming engrossed with many great actresses and writers but both you and Jane Wagner have opened my eyes to how truly beautiful comedy can be. I ordered both the film and book editions of The Search, and I feel as if I've been truly moved. Reading the play alone ignited such empathy I didn't think could exist in a single piece of work. And then watching you stand alone and take on these complex personas rocked me to the core. Thank you for the work you both have created over the years, I hope we've yet to have seen the last of it.

My name is Maggie McDonaId Condon. I love your work - your one woman show - the writing and the performance! I saw it back in 1985! I am thrilled to tell you about my show Dames of Our Lives. Dames is a one-woman, 17- character comedy whodunit. It “is a raucous, shotgun satire, inventive and very funny,” that spoofs everything from Shakespeare to soap operas. Dames is a show that makes people happy. I love performing it and hearing the laughs! Dames will be part the NY Summerfest and United Solo! It would be so exciting if you both could come! Check out the website damesofourlives.com and the Times Square Chronicles - t2c.online. Here are the dates and information about the show - I sure hope you can come and meet the DAMES OF OUR LIVES! Thank you so much. You are both inspirations! Warmly, Maggie McDonald Condon maggiecondon@verizon.net ONE WOMAN, 17 CHARACTERS, TWO FESTIVALS! Hello Lily and Jane, I have seen you perform the incredible material of Jane's 4 times. Twice one Broadway (The Search for Sign of Intelligent Life in the Universe), once at UNC-Greensboro and once at the Carolina theatre in Durham, NC. Each time I waited at the stage door for you and each time you took the time to talk with me, autograph programs and take pictures. Those are times I will never forget and I just wanted to thank you. Jane, I have never had the pleasure of meeting you. Thank you for your brilliant mind. I hope you continue to write and would love to see another Broadway board play by you and perform by Lily. I wish both of you love, peace and happiness. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world!

Hi Lily I know you may receive lots of emails or letters.. I just wanted to share something with you.. I have a step daughter she is a young lady that loves you ever since she watched Grace and Frankie; she says she loves you and she makes us call her Frankie or Lily.. you may think is strange she is a special lady, she is Down syndrome and unfortunately going through a life challenge, she is on chemoterapy for leukemia. I remember her first chemoterapy when she lost her hair, she bought a wig just like your hair at the show. She wear it everywhere saying she is Frankie and that she has two kids.. lol. Her birthday is comin soon August 30th and I was just wondering if we can communicate with you and if you are in Florida ( that where we live) maybe a video or something to let her see you. If there is any possibility to do it I will give you my email so we can contact : gdelgado54@hotmail.com . I don't have social media unfortunately Thanks for everything Gabriela Ghisilieri
