I became a fan of Ms. Tomlin at the tender age of 9. My parents were very young and allowed to watch Laugh In and I became enamored with Edith Ann. My father would have me perform Edith for his drunk friends at many gatherings and Irish wakes. Thank you Ms. Tomlin and Ms. Wagner for the many years of laughter and subtle observations. Love from Michigan!

Thank you Lily for getting back on TV! I've always enjoyed your work and now my 26 year old daughter and I both are enjoying you together! Your timing is perfection and banter with Jane Fonda hilarious. I sure hope you all can give us several seasons of enjoyment and belly laughs! The best kind! Thanks again. Cindy. El Dorado Hills, CA

Lily, I have been a fan of yours for years. Thank you for your amazing work. I just completed viewing the first season of Grace & Frankie on NETFLIX. I was privileged as nurse to provide care for AIDS patients in the late 1980s when they were doing the AZT trials at the National Institutes for Health in Bethesda, MD. I learned I was homophobic. Many wonderful gay patients helped me to understand another way of seeing life. I appreciate Grace & Frankie because you address many issues regarding homosexuality, age and womens' issues that many of us think about but do not discuss. I appreciate your words and heartfelt challenges and excellent acting. The series is also funny at the appropriate times. Thank you and your great cast, especially Jane Fonda. I will be 70 in August. By the way...you look fabulous! Sincerely, Connie

I have admired Lily Tomlin's work since the 1960s but felt moved to write after seeing "Frankie & Grace" series 1 and 2. It takes real talent to be both poignant and amusing but equally important is inspiring to me as an individual as I get older. You rock! Thank you sincerely!

Dearest L., I feel that we've known each other long enough to use our first name initials. I wanted to reach out to tell you that you are very special to me in that through your work you've taught me so much about life and many different ways of looking at it. I was a child when I would giggle at your characters on Rowen & Martin. I'm not about to turn 60 and I keep learning very important life lessons from you. Yes, it's absurd and it's also beautiful. As I've said before, I've laughed till I cried and cried till I laughed. I would love the opportunity to see you again and sit to chat. Oh, please let's! Yours truly, P. Petow

Dear Ms. Tomlin, Eight years ago you did a benefit for Planned Parenthood in Spokane, WA. I met you at an after party where we talked about Detroit, Wayne State University and my screenplay, a dramatization on the life of Harriet Tubman titled, They Called Her Moses. I had a part with you in mind and you offered to read it. Your assistant explained that I needed my agent to send it which was a problem because I didn't have an agent. But now I do. Just say the word and I will have my agent send it to you! You are a fabulous Frankie!

I'm not sure Frankie( in Grace& Frankie would have that brown couch in her studio. Even if it were pleather. How did that one get by set design I wonder. Love to you.

Hi Lily, Some of my fondest memories of watching TV back in the 70's was tuning into Laugh-In. My parents thought it was racy for a child of 5 in 1970, but I laughed and just loved your characters! My dad worked for Ma Bell, and especially loved Ernestine! Anyway, I absolutely LOVE Grace and Frankie

Hello Ms Tomlin, I just wanted to say how much I love the way you play Frankie in the Netflix series of Grace & Frankie. There is absolutely nothing I would change about her/you, and would happily wear every single one your outfits! What a fabulous, beautiful character to play. You and Jane Fonda's character of Grace are the female equivalents of the Odd Couple. You make me laugh, gasp, get choked up, sympathise then laugh and laugh again... I try to ration myself to one episode a day (during lunch - I work freelance so can do this without too much guilt!). This is my treat. Thank you so much for making it. Hope another series is planned! Mandy

I just finished watching the 2nd season of Grace and Frankie and about fell out of my seat laughing. Two work friends and I - inspired by the lube from last season -embarked on developing a product of our own and have been moving forward with it. We all loved it! Between some similarities between our own fledgling business idea and wonderful way you showed the strength of friendship among women, my heart was full to bursting by the end. Thank you!

I'm not sure if this is the right forum...but I am an academic in the U.K. researching the history and lives of cinema usherettes (see website) I am currently preparing a book and a film about these unsung heroines of the cinema. I would love to speak with Lily about her time as an usherette and/or any other cinema usherettes reading this.

"Lily" A gracious congratulations in the recent legalization of the Mary/Jane! 😛 You two are a hoot, and go together like Judy Beasley and vacuum cleaner! Who's the bigger sucker, nobody knows! But just stand back, and watch them go! 😛 Phoenicia and I are doing well. She's still fat and sassy, and I'm still kinda crabby and a little gassy. 😛 I to love the little TV show with the Wanda Fonda bag lady! It's truly refreshing to see you two 9 to 5er's, still making it look easy. I'm glad I stepped out of the limelight while I was at the top. I did look back into the phone company recently, can't have the tapping fun we used to, but it now it'a all about text/picture messages! 😛 It's rude, it's crude, and it's all public domain! 😛 I've watched people meet, exchange (let's say) archaic pictures, love each other, and break up, all via cellular messaging! 😛 It's preposterous, but entertaining! 😛 As you may know, recently I've found joy in working for the health insurance company! It's always refreshing to get to say, NOT COVERED! Can you imagine the look on their face, when you don't pay for their boob jobs! 😛 It's great! Ah well, it time for my break. But you remember, I made you who you are Tomlin. Without you, I'd still be at the switchboard, and you'd still be undercover looking for Daisy "Granny" Mae Moses. * I'm so sorry, but you have bees disconnected from the party to whom you were speaking. 😛 And you've better lay off the buttons buster!
