After my grand-daughter, Aurora (7 year old), met you at Biltmore, her Mom watched "9 to 5" with her and it has become her favorite movie, to the point that when her 2nd grade teacher asked students to name the person they most admire, she named you. You have surpassed the Disney princesses! Yay!!! (And I was there for your recent Wilmington performance. Terrific! Despite the sound issues . . .)
Hi Lily, I have loved you ever since "Laugh In" and like most, tried to imitate you. I have worked as a CNA in a hospital in Port Charlotte, Fl. for the past 2 years. (other duties there for the past 30 years). I swear I have been told more than 300 times in the past 2 years that I look like you. I even had someone tell me a patient across the hall needed me and that was what they wanted to tell me. Some patients I see often start calling me Lily!!! I hear, "who do you look like"? So I say Lily???? and they jump up, YES!!! I looked around to see if there was a way to tell you I am keeping your name going strong in Southwest Florida and hope you actually get to see this. Thank you so much for continuing to be there for us! Keep going strong, we all love you!!!
Please share with Lily I was so inspired by her powerful quote, I derived a version which begins the Introduction in my recently released Book about our family's now 19-year battle with the VA. My book begins with....“I used to pray for somebody to speak out, stand up and voice the concerns of so many Veterans and their families like ours. Then I realized…..I am somebody.” – derived from quote by Lily Tomlin, Actor My ultimate goal is to speak before the U.S. Senate and House VA Committees and have a film produced. Dear Lily, I LOVE your TV show with Jane. My sister introduced me to it and we watch it together on Netflix. I don't usually watch TV. This is the first show I've enjoyed in years. I watched the first one about six times - once with my 33 year old daughter, and she'd said, " it has all of life in that one half hour."
I am 57 and I hate to say it but I kind of had come to the place where I thought my life was my grand children....and that's all. Suddenly, after watching you two, I feel considerably younger! And I have made some positive changes and have a better outlook on my future. Thank you both. By the way, I can relate to the old hippie part of your character so well! Your show really does make me laugh and cry... it is meaningful. By the way, you can let Jane know that I tried to register for her website, and it said, this will be easy! Hah! I gave up trying. Big hugs to you both- the show is amazing.
Dear Lily Tomlin, your performance at Grace & Frankie is overwhelming. I am so glad that women in the middle of their full power and wisdom can create such films with such a story and texts! even when my english is lacking I can understand every word. Thats great cause I love to watch in english. more films like that please, with feminist topics, issues, played and produced in mainstream with stars like you or adorable jane fonda! give us feminists more of that and encourage younger filmmakers to do so! thanx for all.
Lily I'm a average redneck white male that grew up with you. I just watched you in the movie, Grandma. I can't find the words to describe how much a part of my life you have been. Thanks. Jus sayin.
Just seen Grandma superlative performance a genuine joy to watch. Thanks Lily and the rest of the people involved it will stay with me for a long time.
Lily, just saw Grandma. You really nailed that particular type of gm.I have there grown grands, abs I embarrass the shit out of them most of the time. Not even trying.
Miss Lily,
Your work with Miss Fonda on Grace & Frankie is sublime. There is a thin line between tragedy and comedy that you skate in each and every scene. Watching you work is a Master Class in characterization. You've inspired me to keep working as an actor. I had thought of quitting this year. Looking forward to the new season. And if you ever decide to hold a workshop on performing, I want to be front and center. Sincerely. Gerry M.
PS: Congratulations on your marriage. I admire your partnership with Miss Jane. My partner Mr. Padilla and I are coming up on 5 years together. Maybe this year, a trip to city hall.
You both have taught me so much over the years! My first movie to ever watch with Lily was "9 to 5" and I fell in love with the movie and Lily! Then of course, I went online and researched her career and I came across your wife Jane! I watched "The Search For Signs of Intelligent Life In the Universe" and I was in awe! I just figured that I would tell you both how much you have blessed my life with your talents! I'm a seventeen year old girl in love with both of your work! I'm so excited to see Lily in Broken Arrow on April 22nd! Keep on keeping on! Much love!

Lily,
My husband and I have watched almost everything you have done. In October we celebrate our 44th anniversary. We live almost into Ventura County and it is a long drive to the areas you may be seen. I am now disabled and can no longer drive. My husband is a Registered Nurse of almost 40 years and his work schedule is about to change from nights to days. Just watched Graham Norton and saw you there with Ron Howard. May you both have continuous success in your lives.

Saw your show in Wilmington NC and loved it! The energy you bring on stage is captivating. I send my love to you and Jane.
Ms. Lily, I am so privileged to have witnessed many of your performances. I want to thank you for being so diligent and consistent with your gifts. You provide laughter in a world needing healing .. you are a provider, of hope and humility. Thank you.
Thanks for all the smiles you draw in my face. Grandma superb, I didn't know mines, I hope they had that sparkle, bravery and compromise, tenderness too. Thanks to you and Jane because Grace and Frankie is pure joy, joy the world that being older is not a punishment, it's a privilege that we must appreciate. I know because at my middle age, I realize I must be me, that's nothing wrong with it. It was a long ride home. The best for you and your wife Mrs. Tomlin.
You are an extraordinary, beautiful, sensitive woman. I admire you.... Love you!!! And thank you
