Lily! You are coming to Portland Oregon. You have made me laugh for so many years and got me laughing again after the deaths of my dad, mom and my brother when I thought I would never laugh again. Bless you! I can't afford tickets but we are going to walk by the theater and know you are in there!!
Lily, I remember when I was just a kid of 8 years old, I bought your first album. I played it all the time until I had every routine down to every word. I even was able after a time do impersonations of you. Now a grown gay man about to be married for the first time in my life I get to see you on stage in Portland. I would love to purchase a backstage pass and meet you in person. I have been following you for all these years. This would be a dream come true. Fondly, Charles
You both are amazing people doing wonderful things for the world. Thank you. If you ever want to endow a great Communication department at a lovely little university full of people doing wonderful things for the world, let me know. We'll let you name it something funny!
I have enjoyed you since Edith Ann was 5 years old.
the world is a better place for the joy you have given to others. Redecorated my office recently and Ernestine has the place of honor on my wall.
Dearest Lily,
I was about 7 when 9 to 5 came out and I have been hooked ever since. Now I have the incredible pleasure of introducing my 7 year old daughter to the hilarity that is you. Thank you so much for making us laugh and the laughs my daughter and I share. Much love to you.
Hi Lily! I had a ticket for your Westbury, NY appearance in March 2015 but last minute could not attend 🙁 When are you coming back to New York???
Dear Lily, Edith Ann, Ernestine and Trudy have always been three of my favorite characters; Edith Ann and Trudy with wisdom and insight presented worldly and the world I enjoy sharing with them. I've been a fan since Laugh In and did an "Ernestine" one ringy dingy message on my answering machine. I had seen your Search for Signs of Intelligence in the Universe show in Chicago and was happy to have a photo taken with you afterward. I'm glad to see your current work with Netflicks Frankie and Gracie and look forward to seeing your new movie Grandma. I'm inspired by your re-creation of yourself throughout life and would enjoy meeting you again. I liked the Ted talk you did with Jane Fonda defining the qualities you look for in a friend. Next time you are in Chicago, let's get together for lunch.
You know, I never did get my LILYHAIR. When I told my friends about ordering it they didn't believe me..........they still don't. ;-{ ) Does the mustache make my nose look too big? You always make me laugh. Thank you!
Dear Lilly I have looked forward to seeing you love for a very long time I once was a comic before I was a mom I have always been inspired by you I am so very bummed that you are coming to Turlock which is not far from me at all and I'm going to miss it only because all the good seats are sold 🙁 I look forward to someday seeing you live so please consider more shows in the area! Thank you for the laughs 🙂
Hi Lily,
I hope you will work on an autobiography while your memory is still razor sharp. It would be great for fans to have your amazing memories of growing up in Detroit documented in a book. Also the memories of all the years of hard work developing your craft during 1957 to 1969 and the success years that followed. A biography with a chronological timeline section of major life events is something I've always appreciated and also an index. Best wishes and Merry Christmas, Bill
Hi Lily,
Could you please post some pictures of two of your former homes? That would be the "shockingly blue bungalow" you lived in at the time of your 1977 Time magazine cover story. The other is the former W.C. Fields home you painted pink. Is it true you painted the fireplace mantel Pepto-Bismol pink? Also some pictures of your 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer. Cool car. Best wishes.
Hi Lily, 1st I have to tell you how much I enjoy your movies and your personality, you funny girl. You always make me feel good when watch your films. I was your film Grace and Frankie on Netflex and it was wonderful. Love it. My sister and I want to see Gramma, the closet theater showing the film is in Beverly Hills. We are in our 60's and 70's and would like something near our home in Orange County. Do you think it will be coming to our area soon? If you have any pull, work on that for my sister and I. Yours truly, Jean Folkestad loyal fan.
I saw you perform in San Francisco and it was the most lifting, elevated, UPlifting show I have ever had the opportunity to go to. Thank you and thank you for all that you do! - J. Rossi, S.F.
